The Coin Collecting merit badge fair was held at The Houston Money Show in the George Brown Convention Center. There were a lot of kids who showed up eager to learn interesting facts about not just collecting, but about world currency and how they’re made.

I personally didn’t have any knowledge about it or a collection, but I still gave it a try. When I was there I learned a bunch of interesting facts on where the US Mints are located and about how much coins have changed over the years.

After the I got my Blue Card signed, we toured The Money Show. There was a lot of interesting coins on display like rare dollars and coins. There were a lot of places where you could get your hands on some coins and start or improve a collection of your own. This event definitely opened my mind up to a new hobby called coin collecting. It could also be something you could be interested in as well.
